The injury to Jewel from Dancing with the Stars is really serious. ITW has a report and an interview with the would be DWTS contestant. The magazine reports that in her first exclusive interview after the news broke today that she withdrew from Dancing With the Stars, Jewel tells In Touch she has a fractured tibia in both legs and it was more serious than she originally thought.
"I am on crutches and if my right leg gets worse, I will be in a wheelchair.” At the advice of her physical therapist, Jewel took a break from dancing in order to allow the tendonitis in both knees to heal. “I can cha-cha with the best of them,” she said in a statement issued by ABC in late February. “Don’t count me out as I am in this for the long run,” she added.
